Blue Sunshine

An early summer day proper. My new home, my new blues. Dupont Circle. NW DC. After settiing into a shady spot on the clean soft grass. I played til my fingers glowed bright red. The usual exercises and folkism. Then tuned to DADGAD and worked on my best blues phrashings. The words came softly deep and dark, belying the hope I hold to valiantly. The world is gay and the neighbors as well. I am not, as my J will attest. If I had a pen I would sure have a scrap of something structured to moan. But as I was largely ignored, not threatened by nor a threat to those gay and occupied all around me I found a bit of inspiration. Like the antithesis of fear, one is elusive the other everpresent it seems. Play on and push on.
