Thank you Columbus and Daniel

What a nice thing to have a 3 day weekend, simply because my paper does not put out an issue for what most companies classify a sort of optional holiday, which is Columbus day. I got in a decent workout after clearing my head from a slight hangover. Walked around on this sunny Monday, picked up some buttery spread. Did some laundry.
Currently I'm rewatching the fine documentary "The Devil and Daniel Johnston". These are the kind of stories, true, disturbing and enlightening that screenwriters cannot hope to achieve, it's not the kind of world that inspires rich stories such as his. It's not the medium that gives you so much bang for the buck anymore. At the premiere, Johnston himself endorses the filmmaker for keeping the humor intact, his brilliance apparent while exposing every aspect of his life, all his secrets out. Great movie!
