G and Cindy Sheehan

G and Cindy Sheehan
G and Cindy Sheehan,
originally uploaded by G Miles.
This was a couple of weeks ago. You might have seen her televised PSAs by now. BTW, this Hurricane is a fucking sign for W to get his head of his ass already and take care of his own damn people. If you love American, help Americans and let the Iraqis sort out their own mess. It's another bloody Vietnam already, and this country is starting to look a mess that it did in 1972. Go Cindy, go America, go away, W.

More Dogs

Up'n early out here in Ct. Cruisin with Ca in tha Silver Surfer. Can Dunkin Donuts ever get it right? To avoid the excess sweetener I asked for them separately, they put em both in anyway. Getting home, she actually called them to complain. So, fee coffee later but still...

Wish I had the camera for the display of Dog Days in tiny New Hartford. Large dog sculptures, theme painted and displayed and benefitted of grants by local businesses. You may remember the Manhattan cows, this is on a much smaller scale, but now I get it. The dogs are availible for later auction. I wonder if any NYers bought any cows.

And I am doped. Mysterious allergies plague me. I've taken many yellow pills and sucked in dreaded Afrin. Such a wealth of medicine, I shant reveal much more. Also a wealth of leftover Salmon. Not my favorite fish, being so large and mealy, an aquired taste. But with enough bread and frying oil, I thought a croquet would please me and assuage my classic Jewish guilt complex, oy, so much food, what should we do, I'd hate to see it go to waste. Yep.

Dogg Days

Saw bits of my old haunts last couple of days and the unifying force this summer has been construction. Man, I should have been an engineer or something. Would have earned me the right to sit on my ass all through football season content with the knowledge of all the revenue-generating structures I helped to build all summer. All pipe dreaming aside, Port Washington now has more interior design stores, banks and delis, Williamsburg has more skin-care salons, bars, a Subway (omigod, a chain store)and restaurants known more for their industrial furniture and metal facades than their food. And Manhattan, what else is new? The New York Times Building and the HEarst building on 8th avenue alone had me hankering for a crosswind. And CNN-Time Warner center is just frightening to me in it's awful ostentatiousness. Like an upturned tack for the God's to step on painfully, but oh how necessary to reclaim such a prime spot of green.

So here I am in Conneticuit again, heavily medicated, a nose that won't unclog. My Texas souveniers were a hit, though I was bleary in my regalious delivery, it was worth it.

Caribou Gone

Hey folks. Round two. I had a brilliant post rolling before until I tried to upload pictures. Got the quick boot. Damn cyber cafes! Which brings us to story one. Stacked in the many papers arrived on my return from Texas was an advert for a new Caribou Coffee locale in the biz dict. With a coupon for a free beverage oh my. I biked around yesterday, did a bit of recon. I encounted the regular homeless lady outseide, festooned con accoutremontes, with simlar said coupon, asked could I reedem it for her, Aye accompli, crem y 'zucar, con regales wit el barista. Discussed the bean and the Wifi in casa de cafe.
I returned this morning for a french roast and a french toast (muffin, with maple frosting) Busted out my Mac and discovered the internet was $4 for 2 hours. I object! Then had a long talk with the Mom, walking back I found my body walking 6 feet in front of me, clearly overdosed on the powerful caffienated bev. I brushed my teeth to the marrow, got on the bike and cruised again. My extended route past Kennedy Center, Ladybird Johnson Trail, Roosevelt Bridge and ended up at the Holocaust Museum, another fine Smithsonian attraction located well off the mall but still a tourist haven.
So I return, another cyber cafe run, this time indulging in a chalky protein shake and....well, the present. My train of thought is shot, I wrote all this much better before and in greater detail, gotta remember to save draft more frequently, and sorry, no pictures at this time. Stay tuned for my one on one with Cindy Sheehan, Western White House press conference and a visit to Mt. Carmel. It's all there in Texas folks, let's hope it stays there. Cuz where else you gonna get good barbecue?

Texas thing

G-Spot 'Mosing by the 'Mo

J-Ala'mode!

Hi y'all. Me and J flew into San Antonio Texas yesterday. Checked into the Westin Riverwalk. Immediately went for Mexican food, sending me on a flatulent pattern continuing through the present. After Julie's panel discussion with other WHCs including CNN's Dana Bash we had some nice fish plucked from the river. we just helped ourselves. Soon the margaritas and strange proteins accumulated deep withing my system and my sleep on the heavenly bed was somewhat difficult. In this fancy hotel I dreamed of living in squalor and peeing in a pizza carton.Still more stuff to do, BBQ to to be found, margaritas I might try and avoid for a day perhaps. All in good fun.

In loving memory

Rough days up here in Conneticuit. My stepfather Bill passed away this morning after a long long illness. Heart trouble, diabetes, or you could say he was addicted to chocolate and was geneologically not prepared to withstand such earthly joys. He was a good man and good to my mother, as well as to his two daughters.
I'm happy my mother found a love in her life after earlier unjust relationships left her continually to her own inner searchings. But she is strong and has many years of joyful memories to look back on, and many future years to enjoy and embrace life to it's fullest. With her faithful poodle Brucie lapping her face, and my immenent positive floating energies, all will be well, thank you.
